What makes this facility different and unique from a typical professional recording studio (or your bedroom)?
A post facility (like SoundSpace) or a music studio will have a voiceover and foley, or instrument tracking rooms. These rooms are designed around a “performance” where the person in front of the mic is being directed by the directors, producers, and engineers. Usually one actor at a time, two at the most. Standing in front of a script and mic stand. This is not a podcast.
While all of these spaces are technically capable of recording pretty much anything including a podcast, podcasters need something purpose built for them. That's what The Podcast Lounge is. And boy did we do it.
This is a purpose-built setup for all types of podcast from solo records, dual conversations, interviews, or comfortable group chats
If you use live sound effects, music cues, or ad-reads during the show, all of that is pre-loaded into your show's custom sound library ready to be triggered at any moment. For post production, you have access to everything from Garage Band to Pro Tools, and if your podcast is more complicated and you could use edit, sound design or mix help, SoundSpace Studio is next door and can do literally anything with sound.
Local and remote recordings are mixed seamlessly. From Skype to Source Connect, and including video feeds. Your unique setup is a piece of cake
Why make a podcast without coffee or bubbles? No reason whatsoever. Get showered with espresso, coffee, and snacks
The tech is set up to use, not to confuse. Record with as few buttons and clicks as possible in a super comfortable, modern studio. It's a radio station merged with a lounge, designed for podcasts.
coming soon: If you're just getting into podcasting or want to do a deep dive into editing and mixing, we're planning a slate of workshops that include podcast basics, marketing and sponsorships, hosting and story arc, and post production.
